Once your item is
placed on the truck for shipment, it is no longer
the responsibility of Bakery Equipment.com.
Truck
Deliveries
Common carrier truck deliveries are performed by
one of many trucking companies using a 20 to
40 foot trailer truck. This service is a
"Tailgate Delivery". The driver will
move the items to the back of the truck. At that
point you will need someone to move them into your
building or residence. Make sure you have a fork
lift available to offload your item from the
truck, if not please check the
box below to upgrade to a lift gate delivery.
A
signature is required at the time of delivery.
Most items over 100 pounds, and non-UPS-able
orders will be shipped via common carrier. Common
carrier deliveries are only performed Monday
through Friday. An appointment by telephone can be
added to the order but will delay the shipment
while you are being contacted. This notification
before delivery service is an option you may
choose by checking the appropriate box . Both
Lift Gate, and Notification Before Delivery will
be an additional charge.
Notification
Before Delivery
We can request for you that the truck driver
call you up to 24 hours prior to your delivery.
Additional fees will apply.
Lift Gate
Delivery
The truck that arrives will have a lift gate
to bring your purchase to ground level. At that
point you will need someone to move the item into
your building or residence.
Additional fees will apply.
Inside
Delivery - Inside
delivery options are not available for all
equipment
Inside deliveries may be available for equipment
that is being installed by Bakery Equipment.com.
Additional fees will apply.
Installation
Bakery Equipment.com offers installation of
most major equipment such as Ovens and Proof
Boxes. Your sales representative can give you more
information on installation options, and include
the cost of installation, if applicable, in your
quote.
Freight
Insurance
Once
your item is placed on the truck for
shipment, it is no longer the responsibility
of Bakery Equipment.com. Should
your item be damaged during shipment, without
freight insurance, the freight company is only
obligated to pay approximately .10 cents per pound
for the loss.
Another Note About Freight Insurance:
Freight Companies are only liable to pay the
full value of a piece of Used Equipment if they
lose the piece of equipment, or if the piece of
equipment is damaged and considered a total loss.
Minor or reparable damages may only be paid at .10
cents per pound of the freight.
Freight
insurance is an extra expense and usually
runs around 10-15% of the freight cost, depending on the
item. We will be happy to include
this in your quote, so you can decide if
you want the insurance added.
Another
important note about freight. PLEASE
inspect your item prior to receiving and
signing it for it upon delivery. Once the
truck leaves, freight damage claims can be
very time consuming and inconvenient.
Bakery
Equipment.com uses a variety of freight
companies to pick up and deliver
equipment.
